The NSW SES Glen Innes Unit has thanked several units from across the state that came to assist following last Friday’s wild storms that caused severe damage to the town.
Crews attended and have completed 97 jobs over the last 3 days overseeing repairs to smashed skylights, broken windows and damaged roofs.
Units from as far as Maitland, Dorrigo, Singleton and Tamworth along with crews from Tingha, Guyra, Armidale, Moree and Tenterfield came to assist the local unit over the weekend.
Glen Innes Severn Shire Mayor Margot Davis says the comradery and solidarity shown by SES volunteers was something she had the privilege to see first-hand.
