Over $6000 has been raised for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service following the Croppa for the Chopper charity bike ride on Sunday.
Moree Online News reports riders from Goondiwindi, Moree, Croppa Creek, North Star, Yallaroi, Grafton and Pottsville enjoyed their 29km ride from Northstar to Croppa Creek.
Event organiser Carolyn Bellman, says the day was a huge success and a wonderful way to celebrate the amazing aeromedical, search and rescue service this not-for-profit vital service provides the community.
Ms Bellman says participants enjoyed morning tea during their bike ride while organisers had 79 people attend the lunch at the Croppa Creek Soldiers Memorial Hall under sunny skies.
