Inverell Saints Captain Hayden Chappel has signed off his 2024 AFL Northwest season with his 6th Club Best & Fairest following Saturday nights Presentation Night at the Inverell RSM Club.
Chappel, who led the Saints to their 5th premiership earlier this month, won the Dick Gleeson medal count (24 Votes) by one vote from runner up and the Leagues Rising Star Cooper Taveira (23 votes).
There was a draw in the Gobbert Family’s Women’s Best and Fairest with multiple winner of the award Gabby Mooney and 1st year player Sarah Drew finishing equal first on votes (29).
The Kevin Pay medal for the Best Under 14’s player went to Lockie McLellan while the Club Person of the Year was Chloe Gleeson.
Mr Chappel was also bestowed life membership from the Club for his long and esteemed contribution as a player and coach.
