Glen Innes Severn Council hosted an official opening event yesterday to unveil the new amenities, outdoor seating area and children’s playground in Centennial Parklands, Glen Innes.
This event marked the successful completion of a project aimed at enhancing community spaces and expanding recreational opportunities in the Glen Innes Highlands.
Member for New England Barnaby Joyce was joined Glen Innes Severn Council Mayor Rob Banham and distinguished guests to celebrate the completion of the revitalised section of Centennial Parklands with Mayor Banham saying this development represents a significant step forward in creating a more vibrant and engaging environment for both the community and visitors.
This project was funded by the Australian Government through the Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grants Program and supported by Glen Innes Severn Council.
