Centacare is inviting the community to join a special celebration marking 25 years of walking together with individuals, families and communities across the region.
The milestone event will bring together community members, partner organisations, local leaders, current and former staff and supporters to reflect on the impact Centacare has made over the past quarter-century and celebrate the relationships that have shaped its journey.
Chris Smedley, CEO said the event is an opportunity to honour the people, partnerships and communities that have been at the heart of Centacare’s work for the past 25 years.
“Our theme, ’25 Years of Walking Together’, reflects the way Centacare has supported people through life’s challenges and celebrations, standing alongside individuals and families every step of the way,” Chris said.
“This milestone is about more than an organisation reaching 25 years. It’s about recognising the thousands of people whose lives have intersected with Centacare, the dedicated staff who have served our community, and the many partners who have helped us create positive change.”
Since its establishment in 2001, Centacare has delivered a broad range of services and programs designed to support wellbeing, strengthen families and build resilient communities.
Over the years, the organisation has adapted to meet changing community needs while remaining committed to its mission of providing compassionate and inclusive support.
The celebration will feature free entertainment for all, offering an opportunity for community members to connect and learn more about the services and programs that continue to make a difference throughout the region.
They have a free sausage sizzle cooked by Inverell Lions Club, free barista coffee by the HOPe van, and lots of activities for children – making our celebration a great day out during the school holidays.
Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend and help celebrate this significant milestone.
