Close to 40 community members gathered for the Meet the Candidates Forum held at the Inverell Uniting Church last night coordinated by the Inverell Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Nine of the eleven candidates were present at the evening and spoke about the reasons why they’re contesting the Local Government election and a place on the next Inverell Shire Council.
Main topics that were discussed by candidates last night included Health Services, Youth Crime and homelessness.
Chamber President Jacki Watts says it was a fantastic night to hear from the candidates as well as having locals put questions to those seeking their vote.
