Business NSW NENW Champions Regional Open Days to Shape the Future of Advanced Manufacturing

Business NSW New England Northwest is proud to support the Future Made Open for Business Tours, a regional initiative that aims to connect local students with the world of engineering and manufacturing. Taking place across Armidale, Inverell, and Tamworth today, Thursday, 4 September 2025, the event will offer students a unique opportunity to explore career pathways in these key industries.  

The Future Made Open For Business Tours will feature a series of guided tours hosted by local businesses, providing students with a behind-the-scenes look at some of the region’s best manufacturing facilities.  
 
The event is designed to help develop and expand career pathways by connecting the next generation of talent with the companies that are shaping the future of advanced manufacturing in the New England North West region.  

The tours will offer an in-depth look at the skills and expertise required for these industries, helping students understand the opportunities available and how they can pursue them.

Each participating business will host a guided tour, offering students a closer look at daily operations, technological advancements, and the innovation driving the industry forward. These tours will allow students to interact with professionals, ask questions, and gain insight into what it takes to succeed in the rapidly evolving world of manufacturing.  

As part of this initiative, Business NSW is proud to work alongside Karly Brogan (NSW Department of Education) and industry stakeholder Fiona Sweeney (Obieco Industries), who have played key roles in bringing the event to life.
