Former Inverell Saints AFL coaches are set to lead Northwest Blue Heelers teams when representative duties take centre stage later this year.

Multiple premiership winning coach Dick Gleeson and former U17s coach Alan Martin have been named to lead the men’s and Under 13s teams respectively with Martin to share the role with New England Nomads juniors coach matt Pine.

The Northwest men’s and women’s Blue Heelers teams will play in Gunnedah on June 28, while the junior team will play in the junior representative carnival that is being played in Coffs Harbour during the July school holidays.

Squads for the three teams will be announced shortly.
