In preparation ahead of upcoming Telstra upgrade works in Bingara, the communications giant has advised they’ll be carrying out essential maintenance work at their mobile site for one day, next week.
During this work, which will be carried out this Monday, mobile services in the area will be temporarily disrupted as their mobile site will be switched off for a period of up to 10 hours to safely complete the work.
In a statement, Telstra advise these works will not impact NBN, satellite internet services, PSTN landline services or mobile coverage from other providers.
They stress that any calls to Triple 000 from a Telstra Mobile when the site is switched off will automatically connect to another mobile network if available for connection to emergency services.
