Inverell-trained JAKAT has narrowly taken out this year’s Bingara Cup.
Ridden by Wendy Peel, the second favourite held off late challenges from HARDYO, ANNIE’S STREET and NORMAN, with all four finishing within a length of each other.
Bingara Cup day was a huge success with a large crowd attending in excellent weather, and long-time racing supporters Hugh and Juliet Munro were awarded life membership of the Bingara Jockey Club.
