A local woman is holding an event at Victoria Park in Inverell tomorrow called the Big Blue Table, raising money and awareness about mental health.

Shelley Cooper says the fundraiser for Beyond Blue is to support people with all kinds of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, and suicide.

Ms Cooper says the concept is to host a meal, set a blue table and have meaningful conversations with community members and raise funds to allow people with mental health issues to contact a Beyond Blue councillor and get the support they need

She’s hoping the community will come down and support the day and buy a $5 ticket in a raffle where there’s over $1000 worth of prizes up for grabs.

The event will be held between 11am and 4pm at Victoria Park in Inverell
