BEST Employment is pleased to announce that it has been successful in securing contracts to deliver Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) programs for the next five years.
The IEA program, a replacement for the current Disability Employment Services (DES) program which ceases on 30 October 2025, is underpinned by evidence-based practices designed to empower individuals and drive meaningful employment outcomes.
BEST will focus on providing comprehensive support, facilitating job readiness, skill development, and sustainable career pathways for participants.
For job seekers, especially individuals with disabilities, the IEA program provides enhanced opportunities to access tailored support, practical resources, and career development services, designed to improve their employment prospects and long-term success in the workplace.
Employers, in turn, benefit from guidance and collaboration that foster more inclusive recruitment practices, helping them access a diverse talent pool and build stronger, more capable teams.
With a strong focus on quality service delivery, BEST Employment is poised to work closely with local employers, allied health providers, and communities to ensure the program’s success and sustainability.
BEST currently delivers the Disability Employment Services in the Warwick, Keepit and Gwydir Namoi Employment Service Areas.
Anna Watt, BEST CEO, said “I am delighted that under the new Inclusive Employment Australia contract we will continue to service the Warwick and Keepit areas. It is disappointing to have not retained the Gwydir / Namoi, as we have had a long-standing presence in this area. However, it is exciting to return to delivering disability employment services across our New England communities.”
The transition to the IEA program signifies a renewed commitment to enhancing service quality and fostering a collaborative approach through targeted initiatives. The program aims to break down barriers to employment while promoting long-term engagement between participants and employers.
Rachel McLennan, BEST Chair, commented, “We are proud to continue partnering with the government to deliver disability employment services to create a more inclusive future for everyone. This program represents a turning point in addressing the challenges faced by people with disabilities in finding and maintaining employment. By leveraging evidence-based practices and working collaboratively with all stakeholders, we are confident that the IEA program will create lasting impact, both for people with a disability and the broader community.” The IEA program reflects a strategic investment in creating a fairer, more inclusive workforce.
The new program begins 1 November 2025.
Until then, BEST Employment will continue to deliver Disability Employment Services in the Warwick, Keepit and Gwydir Namoi Employment Service Areas.
