The Office of Local Government have launched a dedicated webpage on its website for candidates at the upcoming local government election being held on 14 September 2024.

The webpage is called “Become a Councillor” and has resources for potential candidates to help understand the role and responsibilities of being a Councillor.

Among the resources available on the website include information insights on local government, who can be a councillor, information on multicultural diversity and women in government, as well as further resources such as candidate tools.
