The Australian Koala Foundation (AKF) is coming to Warialda — and the whole community is invited to meet the team behind Australia’s leading Koala conservation efforts.
From Tuesday 27th to Thursday 30th October, members of the Brisbane-based AKF team will be in Warialda, connecting with the local retail and online team from the Save The Koala Shop and hosting a special community event to discuss the AKF’s key initiatives — including the very important Koala Kiss Project, which aims to protect and connect vital Koala habitat across the Gwydir region.
Join us for an Open Day at Koala Quarters, formerly the Challenge Building, on Wednesday 29th October between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM at 2 Hall Street.
Snacks and a light lunch will be served, and we warmly welcome all community members to drop in, ask questions, and chat with the team.
The Save The Koala Shop – One Day Only Special!
The Save The Koala Shop on Stephen Street will also be open on Wednesday 29th October, with a special one-day-only 20% discount storewide.
It’s a great chance to support Koala conservation while picking up some thoughtful gifts — and the perfect time to stock up on unique Christmas presents.
Our featured collections include:
- Nathan Ferlazzo – Stunning artwork of Australian animals
- La La Land – Bold, fun designs
- Banksia Glen – Bright, beachy, affordable gifts just in time for the holidays
