The Australian Deaf Rugby Team will be hoping to go one better in the 10’s International Rugby Championship in South Africa which kicks off this evening.
The team coached by former Inverell Highlanders captain Coach David Kearsey, missed out on the 7s trophy on the weekend, going down to England in the final, but hope to bring home some silverware from their South African adventure.
In between tournaments, the team has spent time visiting 300 deaf school kids and conducting training sessions while also taking in a safari tour.
The Aussies will take on England and South Africa twice before the final tomorrow.
