The Australian Deaf Rugby Team, currently being coached by former Inverell Highlanders Captain Coach Dave Kearsey, has just missed claiming the Sevens International tournament in Johannesburg in South Africa over the weekend.
Australian beat South Africa 19-14 in the semi final but lost the grand final to England 36-19.
After trailing 21-0 at one stage, the Aussie made a comeback, however they feel short.
Mr Kearsey says the boys played incredibly well and just couldn’t hold on against a well drilled and strong England side.
The Aussies now move onto the 10s tournament this week.
