Local athletes are in full training ahead of the All-School Track and Field National championships in Brisbane in December.

MacIntyre High School students Jack Partridge and Conna Bowndes will be competing in the shot put event after qualifying at the NSW All Schools Championships held at Sydney Olympic Park last month while Jack will also back up in the Discus event.

Meantime, middle distance runner Dustin Uebergang has qualified for the under 15 boys 400m final after securing a top two spot at the State championships.

The national championships will be held at the Queensland Sport and Athletic Centre, Mt Gravatt, from December 6-8.
