The NSW Rural Fire Service Northern Tablelands team have reminded at risk members of the community of a one-off free service available to ensure they live more safely confidently during a bushfire event.
The Assist, Infirm, Disabled, and Elderly Residents program is designed for people who have limited domestic support available from family, relatives, friends or other services and are on living on a property on bushfire prone land.
The AIDER service includes clearing gutters, thinning vegetation around the home, removing leaf and tree debris, trimming branches from close to the home, and mowing or slashing long grass.
Anyone interested in this service can call 1300 011 737 or visit the RFS.NSW.gov website.
