Inverell and Tingha NAIDOC week events kicks off today with the annual Inverell Street March and Opening Ceremony commencing at 10am.
The public are notified there will be minor disruption to traffic in the CBD with rolling street closures from 10:30am as the march proceeds with police escort from Rivers St, down Otho, Byron and Vivian Streets with the March concluding at Victoria park
The Inverell & Tingha NAIDOC Committee have curated a week-long calendar of events with an Inverell Combined Churches Service at Waratah Park at 10am on Sunday, Art Exhibition opening at the Art Gallery on Monday, Tingha Street March and Community Fun Day on Tuesday, Danthonia Elders Luncheon on Thursday and a 3 on 3 Basketball competition next Friday starting at 2pm at the Skate Park.
