A 35-year-old Coffs Harbour man will face court tomorrow following a police pursuit in Inverell last Friday afternoon.
Just after 2:30, Inverell Police, assisted by Traffic and Highway Patrol Command, police sighted a stolen motor vehicle on Gwydir Hwy with a subsequent police pursuit initiated.
The stolen vehicle was successfully intercepted and stopped by police near the Reddestone Creek Bridge, Gwydir Hwy at Glen Innes at around 3pm where the 35-year-old was removed from the vehicle and arrested.
He was later charged at Inverell Police Station with several armed robbery offences committed in the Coffs Clarence area, along with police pursuit related offences committed between Inverell and Glen Innes on Friday.
The man was refused bail by police and the court and will appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court tomorrow.
