Police are investigating a fatal crash near Bingara on Friday afternoon which claimed the life of a 56-year-old man.
Just before 4pm, emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle roll over at the intersection of Elcombe Road and Royal Oak Road, Bangheet, with police removing the male passenger from a silver-coloured Ford Ranger utility.
NSW Ambulance paramedics carried out CPR on the man however, he could not be revived and died at the scene while a 47-year-old female driver was treated by paramedics and air lifted to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
Two other female passengers in the vehicle – aged 9 and 25 – were uninjured.
A crime scene was established that was later examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.
As inquiries continue police would like to speak with the occupants of a green coloured early model dual cab with a flat tray that was last seen travelling north on Elcombe Road towards the township of Gravesend.
