The Inverell community is expected to brave the cold conditions and head to Campbell Park tonight for the inaugural Battle on the Bank event.
An initiative of the Inverell Youth Think Tank, Battle on the Bank is a free, high-energy live music competition for young performers aged 12 to 24.
Six young performers are set to take to the stage this evening with the top three youth acts of the night walking away with cash prizes of $300 for the winner, $150 for 2nd and $50 for 3rd place.
Along with the live acts, there’ll be performances from Terra Firma, Kyla-Belle and Jemima McLachlan as well as food trucks to keep the belly full.
The evening will start at 5 o’clock this afternoon and finish around 9pm
