Transport for NSW will be installing a new speed zone on Fernhill Rd Inverell which will come into effect from next week.

The new permanent 60km/hr speed zone stretches from Yetman Rd to Fullers Lane intersection.

Transport for NSW says the adjustment of the speed limit to suit the road environment, a 60km/h speed zone is in a more populated section of Fernhill Rd and doesn’t support a 80km/h zone in this section, and provide consistency on the road network along this section and align with the NSW Speed Zoning Standards.

Inverell Shire Council has been informed that signs will be erected, and the speed zone change will be effective as of Tuesday 3rd June.
