The 2025 Aboriginal Elders Games comes to an end in Inverell today with over 300 Elders and their supporters making Inverell home over the last few days.

The event includes a series of games, social activities and an awards ceremony with the event providing a significant boost to the local economy through increased tourism and community engagement.

24 teams from all parts of the state including Mt Druitt, Coffs Harbour, Dubbo Wellington and Kempsey have come together to celebrate not only their sporting abilities but their culture and their people.

Inverell Bear Eaters Elders group are the reigning champions after claiming victory at last year’s Olympics, giving them this year’s hosting rights.
