Labor’s New England candidate for the upcoming federal election believes the tide is turning in relation to how the electorate will vote at the May 3rd poll.
Visiting various towns around the region, Ms Hughes many people she has spoken to are willing to reconsider their vote and are happy to vote for Labor.
Speaking on STA FM yesterday, Ms Hughes says increased payments for childcare workers, HECS debts reduced by 20% and public schools funding are some of the initiatives that people are very supportive of.
She says the Albanese government has achieved a lot during their time in power, addressing inflation and wage increases, something that many believe the Coalition didn’t do while they were in power.
