Six community members have been nominated for Inverell Shire’s Australia Day Citizen of the Year Award.
Allison Lane, Garry Newley, Graham Kerridge, Ken Middleton, Lorraine Brown and Terri Smith have been recognised for their commitment and dedication to the Inverell Shire.
The announcement of the winner will be made at the Inverell Australia Day Celebrations to be held in Victoria Park on Sunday 26th January from 7:30am
The morning will also include entertainment by the Inverell Singers, Sapphire City Concert Band and Danthonia Youth Choir, flag raising ceremony, addresses from Mayor Kate Dight and the Australia Day Ambassador along with a BBQ Breakfast cooked by Macintyre Lions Club for a gold coin donation.
