A man will spend Christmas behind bars after appearing at Inverell local court last Thursday charged with several break and enter offences in Bingara, Warialda and Glen Innes areas.
60-year-old Robert George Eggins was arrested last week at an address on Reedy Street in Delungra following reports of multiple break and enter offences where solar panels, motor controllers and metal products were stolen from several locations since Tuesday 19 November.
During the search of the property, police seized several items including a water tank, water pump, solar panels, mirror, street signs and electric tools.
Eggins was charged with two counts of enter dwelling with intent, two counts of break and enter house – steal value less than or equal to $60,000, three counts of goods in personal custody suspected being stolen ( not motor vehicle) and destroy or damage property and has pleaded not guilty to all but three charges.
He was refused bail to appear at Inverell Local Court on the 23rd of January.
