The Inverell Breast Cancer Support Group held their biggest Christmas luncheon yesterday at the Inverell RSM Club.
Around 220 women tuned up for the annual event to catch up with friends and as well as to remember women they’ve lost over the past 12 months.
Group President Trish Keitley says since last year’s Christmas function, they’ve financially assisted 32 women and children in the district.
Mrs Keitley says it was quite overwhelmed at yesterday’s turnout adding they’re blessed to have a community like Inverell support them they way they do.
She also asked the community to contact a member of the Inverell Breast Cancer Support Group if they know of anyone who’s been recently diagnosed with breast cancer so they can assist them with their cancer journey.
Meantime, the group’s next monthly bus trip will be held to Tenterfield on the 28th of November and any women interested in joining them can contact Trish on 0411 968 113
