Driver Pleads Guilty to Drink Driving & Speeding

by | Nov 12, 2024 | Crime | 0 comments

27-year-old Damian Mark Brennan has pleaded guilty to four charges after speeding through a school zone in Glen Innes while three times over the blood alcohol limit.

Brennan was behind the wheel of a white Kia Carnival when police observed him speeding through a school zone on Church Street in Glen Innes on November 8.

In an item in the Northern Daily Leader, Brennan turned onto Meade Street before attempting to enter Hunter Street but hit a speed sign and guttering which immobilised the vehicle.

After a brief foot pursuit, Brennan was apprehended and subjected to a breathalyser which returned a breath analysis of 0.174.

Magistrate Carl Milovanovich refused Brennan’s bail application saying he was a repeat offender and a danger behind the wheel and remanded him in custody to appear at Armidale Local Court on the 16th of December for sentencing.
