Local trainers had another good day at the Armidale race meeting on Saturday with winning efforts.

SPIRIT OF PLUTO, trained by Todd Payne, came from second last on the home turn to storm home and grab stablemate RINNERO on the post in the 1100 metres Benchmark 50 Handicap. 

Earlier SWANBROOK GEM, trained by Ridge Wilson, made it 2 wins from its past 3 starts in a Benchmark 50 Handicap, and the stable almost made it a winning double in the final race when LESGO DON was beaten a head.
