The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission have issued a recall on a particular Outdoor water heater unit.

The ACCC have advised the Thermann X Split Heat Pump Water Heater Outdoor Unit, sold exclusively by Reece Australia, has had its THP45 series of hot water units recalled and affect 160, 250, 315 and 400 litre models.

The ACCC says the recall is due to live electrical parts that people may come in contact with should they remove the plastic cover on the side of the unit to access the controller board to change the settings, with the risk found being serious injury or death from electric shock.

Consumers have been urged to contact Reece to arrange for an authorised service agent technician to repair the unit by emailing customer.care@reece.com.au or by calling 1800 808 055.
