59-year-old William Thomas Russell remains on bail after he fronted Inverell Local court yesterday following an incident in Inverell earlier this year.
Russell is alleged to have assaulted a 62-year-old man with a firearm in Hindmarsh St and was later arrested at a unit in Macintyre St following a prolonged police operation in June.
Inquiries have led police to believe the two men were known to each other.
Russell faces the charges of specially aggravated break and enter, possession of an unauthorised prohibited firearm, and possessing a prohibited drug.
His conditional bail was continued, and he will reappear at Inverell Local Court on 21st of November.
