Current councillor Tiffany Galvin leads the way in the Gwydir Shire Council Local Government Election receiving over 17% of the first preference vote.
Mick Collins in currently 2nd with 11.23 % followed by Sarah Crump with 10.92 % of the vote.
Also polling well is Adrian Willmot, Rachel Sherman, Ravi Gill, Sean Coleman, John Bishton, current councillor Marilyn Dixon and Scott Crispin.
Current councillor Lyndon Mulligan, former councillor Stuart Dick, Allan Reddan and Sally-Anne Robertson have received under 5% of the vote and are unlikely at this stage to win a place on Council.
14 candidates have contested the Gwydir Shire Local Government Elections with 9 vacant Councillor spots to fill.
