Prospective candidates have until midday today to submit their nominations for the upcoming 2024 NSW Local Government elections.

Nomination is the process by which candidates have their name included on ballot papers.
Acting NSW Electoral Commissioner Dr Matthew Phillips said late nominations and amendments are not permitted under legislation adding candidates should lodge their nomination now so there’s time for their team to check whether their paperwork is in order and correct.
Nominations can be lodged by heading to the NSW Electoral Commission website.
