The Inverell Highlanders have triumphed in both their First and Reserve grade games after defeating visitors Gunnedah Red Devils at Rugby Park in Central North Rugby Competition on Saturday.
The Highlanders Men’s First have their sights set on a finals berth after managing to hold off the Red Devils with a strong win, Gunnedah going down by a massive 54-31, while the Quirindi Lions also won their game against the Narrabri Blue Boars 41-26, with the Highlanders and Lions still fighting it out for 4th place honours on the ladder.
Meanwhile in the Reserve Grade Game the Quirindi Lions just scraped through with a 30-10 win over the Blue Boars, while The Highlanders coasted comfortably against the Red Devils with a 41-21 victory.
In the Central North Women’s 10s the Barraba Rams defeated the Scone Brumbies 35-15.
