Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) is inviting women and their families to education and support sessions from today until 7th August, in celebration of World Breastfeeding Week.
Women and their families are encouraged to attend free education and support services being held throughout the week at venues in Armidale and Tamworth.
HNELHD Clinical Midwifery Consultant Alison Beverley says the events will give women and their families information about breastfeeding and where they can seek local support and assistance.
The 2024 World Breastfeeding Week theme is ‘Closing the gap: Breastfeeding support for all’.
