Inverell Junior basketball is celebrating after it’s U16 girls team were crowned Waratah North Eastern Junior League title after defeating Taree Tornadoes 93-59 at Port Macquarie yesterday.
After a close start, the Inverell Miners were down by 1 point at half time before pulling away in the second half to claim the title.

Meantime the U14 Miners team weren’t as luck, going down to Taree 60-39 in the final to win the silver medal.
