An Inverell Shire Council delegation will meet with Luke Sloan to discuss health concerns at Inverell Hospital and try to seek a meeting with Health Minister Ryan Park
Speaking last week on STA FM, Inverell Shire Mayor Paul Harmon says he was frustrated that Council’s request to meet with NSW Health Minister Ryan Park had gone on deaf ears.
Mayor Harmon says Inverell Shire’s concerns were shared by Glen Innes Severn Council Mayor Rob Banham who is also seeking to meet with the Minister to discuss the state government funding for the Glen Innes Hospital upgrade.
Mayor Harmon says he and General Manager Brett McGuinness will meet with Mr Sloan today to discuss the issues at Inverell hospital as well as his concerns about the possibility of a Clinical Services Plan being introduced to the area which he believes may involve a reduction of health services.
