Tingha’s heavy weight champion Ricky Sandral has gone down in his latest heavyweight bout in Cairns on Saturday night.
Fighting for the North Queensland Heavyweight title, Sandral dropped his opponent, Jonty Ivey, twice in the opening round but couldn’t capitalise on his early dominance to lose the bout in a close judge’s decision.
Ricky’s father, Pete, says Ricky took the fight on with 4 weeks’ notice and was extremely unlucky not to finish the fight in the first round.
