Warialda Town Hall remains closed following engineering investigations into structural movement and cracking affecting the building.
Investigations have identified highly reactive soils and inadequate footing support. Council is urgently progressing the design of temporary stabilisation works to determine whether the Hall can safely reopen while longer-term repairs are planned.
There is currently no confirmed reopening date, and the timing and cost of the required works are still being determined.
Community groups, regular users and event organisers should make alternative arrangements for ongoing functions, activities and upcoming bookings until further notice.
