Inverell High School’s Year 12 students have a big day planned of fundraising today with a car wash and a charity auction night tonight.
This year’s Year 12 cohort have selected the Inverell Volunteer Rescue Association as their charity organisation and have already raised $8,500 with hopes to raise around $15,000 for the organisation.
Alex Johnson from Inverell High School’s Charity Team is inviting car owners to bring their vehicles to Good Year Tyres from 8:30 this morning for a wash with the cost being $10 for small cars and larger vehicles is $15.
Fellow Year 12 student Myles Doman says after the car wash, the public is invited to the Charity Auction Night at the School Hall from 6pm with around 30 items to be auctioned off.
Myles says the Year 12 students wanted to give back to the community.
