The Sapphire City Concert Band will be heading to Ballina this weekend as part of a reciprocal arrangement made with Ballina Concert Band.
This is the band’s 4th collaboration with Ballina Concert Band which started in 2023 when Ballina visited Inverell as part of their 140th Anniversary touring the New England region.
Both bands will play their own sets before combining as a mass band of over 70 playing members for a finale concert.
This band trip will also mark the first time the band’s Development Band will perform since its inception last year, which consists of both beginner players as well as members who are returning to their instrument as well as existing members trying their hand at other instruments.
