An Inverell Santa Gertrudis stud has caught the eyes of buyers at the Heartland Santa Gertrudis Bulls sale at Roma in QLD last week.
Riverslea Santa Gertrudis stud, owned and operated by the Martin family, topped last Wednesday’s sale both for individual bull price and for stud price paid.
The stud sold 4 bulls on the day with the average selling price being $21,625 with Tambo based Santa Gertrudis stud, Killarney Park purchasing the top bull, Riverslea VB, which weighed 820kg for $32,500.
Alan Martin from Riverslea Santa Gertrudis stud says they’ve been planning it for a long time and to get the result was a massive thing for the family.
