A 26-year-old man will front Inverell Local court in November after being stopped twice by Inverell Police on Tuesday morning
Just after 7:30, police stopped a BMW motor vehicle in Vernon Street in Inverell and subjected the male driver to a road-side drug test which he failed and was issued with a Field Court Attendance notice for a number of other driving related offences.
About an hour later, the same vehicle was again stopped in Urabatta Street with the 26-year-old male again detected driving the vehicle and was subsequently arrested and conveyed to Inverell Police station
He was charged with DRIVE WHILE DISQUALIFIED – SUBSEQUENT OFFENCE, DRIVE UNREGISTERED CLASS A VEHICLE ON ROAD, and USE UNINSURED MOTOR VEHICLE ON ROAD.
He will appear before Inverell Local court on 5th of November.
