The Inverell Saints have secured the AFL Northwest minor premiership and a home ground major semi-final after the New England Nomads forfeited both the men’s and women’s games at Varley Oval on Saturday citing player unavailability.
In the other games played in Gunnedah, the Bulldogs registered a 10-point win, winning 15.11.101 to 13.13.91 victory while the Poochettes defeated the Kangaroos 11.8.74 to 3.7.25
The finals series commences on Saturday 29th of August with the Saints hosting the Tamworth Swans in the men’s major semi while the women face the Poochettes at Varley Oval.
The minor semi-final will be played in Gunnedah with the Bulldogs playing the Kangaroos in the Men’s semi while both Tamworth teams battle it out in the knock in the Women’s final.
