The Inverell Saints will be looking to secure the AFL Northwest Minor premiership when they host the New England Nomads at Varley Oval tomorrow.
A win will lock in a home major semi-final while a loss will give the Tamworth Swans the minor premiership and Men’s coach Hayden Chappel says they want to finish the home and away season strong and build momentum into the finals.
Meantime the Saints Women are hoping the Nomads bring a team over after forfeiting several matches this season.
Women’s coach Chris Pay they’ll be hoping to play good football tomorrow and bounce back from their disappointing 1-point loss to the Poochettes last weekend.
The other Round 16 match sees the Gunnedah bulldogs host the Tamworth Kangaroos at Wolseley Oval.
