Inverell Shire Council Mayor Kate Dight has encouraged the community to fill out the upcoming Australian Census next week.
The Australian Census of Population and Housing is a compulsory national survey conducted every five years by the Australian Bureau of Statistics with the next Census taking place this Tuesday.
Mayor Dight says the Census is an important document which determines Council’s funding for the next five years.
Whether you’re in Tingha, Yetman Ashford or Inverell, Mayor Dight wants residents to fill in the census in an effort to maintain and improve the services and infrastructure in the shire.
Anyone wanting help filling in the Census can visit the Pop-Up Hub at Woolworths Inverell today, tomorrow and Saturday 8th August from 9am to 5pm.
