Inverell F.C have suffered their worst loss of the year going down to Oxley Vale Attunga 6-1 in Tamworth on Saturday in the Northern Premier League.
The visitors were on the back foot from the onset after OVA scored 3 goals in the opening 9 minutes of the game.
The win sees Inverell F.C fall to 4th on the ladder while OVA jumps to the top of the table.
Co-coach James Sweeney says it was a tough day at the office with half of their squad backing up in two games and playing 180 minutes.
He says they’ll need to regroup this week and look for returning players to strengthen their side ahead of their grand final rematch against Moore Creek this week.
