Highlanders Thump Red Devils

by | Jun 29, 2026 | Sport

Despite missing a few players, the Inverell Highlanders have humbled the Gunnedah Red Devils 74-12 at Rugby Park in Round 10 results in the Central North Rugby Competition.

Highlanders Coach gemma Noller says they controlled the game when they needed to and had some good support play and ball movement and will need to continue this great patch of work ahead of this weekend’s crucial games against Pirates in Tamworth.

The Highlanders sit in 4th spot on the central North Competition ladder, 7 points clear of Pirates.

In other results, Narrabri got the points over Pirates winning 43-36 while Quirindi managed a solid 46-21 win over the Moree Bulls.

The Highlanders reserve grade team were defeated by Gunnedah 22-5 while their Women’s team registered a close 26-22 win.
