A decision on a development Application received earlier this year seeking Inverell Shire Council consent for the construction and operation of a 999-head cattle feedlot on the Ashford Road at Bukkulla will once again be discussed at tomorrow’s Council meeting.
Council delayed a decision on the feedlot at last month’s council meeting to enable Councilors to obtain further legal advice in relation to the matter.
Objectors to the feedlot have stated various concerns including unauthorised works, water supply and access, restriction on land, calculations and measurements, sensitive receptor considerations, effluent Utilisation Area and Manure Management, traffic, environmental impacts and perceived procedural errors.
In its May Business Papers, Council confirms that legal advice has been sought and received and will be referred to in tomorrow’s council meeting.
